The Q45 is a unibody car that will twist like a soft pretzel if you overload it. I own a 1995 Pathfinder, and I agree with that. Hitches work best when there is a frame to which it can attach. The underpowered 3L V6 engine can't take much wear and tear for it goes really slow with a trailer. Loosen ignition coil mounting bolts and pull out coil from rocker cover. Another option to preserve the transmission is to have the front wheels on the ground and the rear wheels up on the tow truck. I just don't get it. Speeds greater than 70 are… If you have a manual transmission, all you have to do to flat tow it is put it into neutral.
