How can I sum up the move, see it. The role of Milton was tailored perfectly to suit our hero, Nicholas Cage. Drive Angry's female lead has her own motivations and doesn't need to be turned into Cage's wilting arm candy to have a stake in the plot. It also had a great ending, The accountant was a super addition to the stellar cast - what a great adversary! Somewhat plain for a newer release, and I would have liked to see some more behind the scenes stuff than what's on it. Intent on rescuing the child, Milton joins forces with a waitress, who gives him her ex-lover's fire-red muscle car. Cage himself is pretty lackluster here, sadly, and wearing one of his worst hairpieces to boot.
Was it a kick butt flick, oh yes! The Accountant is the funniest guy in the movie. The technology is so much better than it was when first released, and I hate that more folks never had the opportunity to experience how advanced the image quality, comfort, and full immersion became. I thought these made the 3D presentation even more enjoyable, and it was nice to see them use a number of these throughout opposed to just depth, and 1 or 2 popouts in the movie. A hot chick, some cool cars, and revenge coursing through the main characters veins, seems to make for an interesting, if not highly amusing and entertaining film. Action movies aren't usually much my thing, much less ones that seem to sell themselves on the idea of cars being given title status, but this movie embodies everything I love in a popcorn flick: it's fun, it's over the top, and it plays with beloved tropes in new and inventive ways. Caught in a deadly race against time, Milton has three days to avoid capture, avenge his daughter's death, and save her baby before she's mercilessly sacrificed by the cult. In it, the two pursue the cult leader, who plans to sacrifice the infant and unleash hell on Earth.
John Milton is up against the clock: Jonah King, the leader of a Satanic cult, has murdered Milton's daughter and kidnapped her baby. Intent on rescuing the child, Milton joins forces with a waitress, who gives him her ex-lover's fire-red muscle car. Drive Angry 3D maintains a general sleazy good humor, and Fichtner at least is enjoying himself--he's giving exactly the kind of unexpected, offbeat performance that Cage used to specialize in. In three days, King and his followers will sacrifice the child at midnight. This is self-conscious trash; think of it as a companion piece, both in intention and quality, to Quentin Tarentino and Robert Rodriguez's Grindhouse compilation. I have never seen Amber Heard in a movie, but she was phenomenal as well in her role.
If you're okay with that, you'll probably like Drive Angry. There are parts in it that just fall flat or could have been so much better. The Accountant is not far behind. Piper, who's lived a life on the sidelines, has to piece things together on the fly as they close in on King. This is my definition of a true rated R film. Milton picks up the trail in Oklahoma as well as rescuing a waitress named Piper from her brutal, two-timing fiancé. Both discs are in 1080p, 1.
If you're in this group, don't even bother with the movie. Joined by tough-as-nails Piper Amber Heard , the two set off on a rampage of redemption, all while being pursued by an enigmatic killer William Fichtner who has been sent by the Devil to retrieve Milton and deliver him back to hell. Damned badass Milton Cage literally busts out of hell to rescue his infant granddaughter from a Satan-worshiping cult leader named Jonah King Billy Burke from the Twilight movies. Milton is a hardened felon who has broken out of Hell, intent on finding the vicious cult who brutally murdered his daughter and kidnapped her baby. He joins forces with Piper, a sexy, tough-as-nails waitress with a 69 Charger, who's also seeking redemption of her own.
However, the hunters become the hunted when Satan sends his merciless henchman William Fichtner to drag Milton back. But hot on their trail is the Accountant William Fichtner , a demonic emissary of ambiguous intentions but unstoppable power. And did I mention the lack of a forced romance subplot? Should young children who have seen R rated movies before see this move, the answer is, no way. Don't ask for coherence or common sense; this is a movie where pretty much any character's main motivation can be summed up as sheer cussedness. Fun flick with eye-popping 3D effects! The 2-disc Blu-Ray 3D combo contains a 3D Blu-Ray 3D-only with no extras and a Blu-Ray 2D with commentary, deleted scenes and more. This is a peddle to the metal movie, pretty much from start to finish. Milton meets up with a gal named Piper who is really pretty but can kick your ass, and the 2 take off in a Dodge Charger to rescue the baby girl from Satanists who are going to sacrifice the baby.
Milton picks up the trail in Oklahoma as well as rescuing a waitress named Piper from her brutal, two-timing fiancé. Drive Angry is no piece of high art, but that doesn't mean it is by any means artless. In three days, King and his followers will sacrifice the child at midnight. Overall I'd give it about a 3. From there it's a series of car chases, shootouts, and sex scenes, and sometimes sex scenes that are also shootouts a bit that was done better, it must be said, in the underrated Shoot 'Em Up.
A vengeful father escapes from hell and chases after the men who killed his daughter and kidnapped his granddaughter. This is sheer fantasy, but just a very entertaining escape, beautifully shot with fantastic special effects, however they were done. However, the hunters become the hunted when Satan sends his merciless henchman William Fichtner to drag Milton back. . If Drive Angry is trashy, then I am the raccoon greedily gobbling up that trash because it's just so good. I'll start off by saying that this movie is not for everyone.
No children were harmed in the making this film. The language, music, pictures, and settings, of which the move is shown, are in no way suitable for young children. On his way Milton picks up Piper Amber Heard , a blond waitress with a bad attitude and a worse boyfriend. In it, the two pursue the cult leader, who plans to sacrifice the infant and unleash hell on Earth. Thrown into hell for his crimes, brutal felon John Milton Nicolas Cage escapes from the fiery pit after cultists murder his daughter and take her baby. First, you need to have a tolerence for Nicholas Cage -- I don't mind the guy, but I know a lot of people can't stand him.
Storyline: John Milton is up against the clock: Jonah King, the leader of a Satanic cult, has murdered Milton's daughter and kidnapped her baby. Would this have been cool to see in 3D in the movie theaters, yes it would! Am I happy to just own it on Blu-Ray in 2D, heck yeah. Tuck your kids in, grab onto your popcorn, and make sure you fasten the seatbelt on your couch. The 2D presentation also looks very good, but if possible you'll want to watch it in 3D.
